2-Car Crash Sends 1 To Hospital, Snarls Traffic In Chester Twp.: Cops

Delays lasted an hour on Route 24.

CHESTER TWP., N.J. – A two-car crash Tuesday morning sent one to the hospital and forced heavy delays in Chester Township, police said.

At 8:01 a.m. patrols responded to a crash on Route 24 between Parker Road and Chesterfield Drive, Lt. Ed Noonan said. Police found a 2001 BMW, driven by Devin Bostic, 23, of Chester, in the eastbound lane with heavy damage to the front end of his car. The second vehicle, a 2008 Chevy driven by Mary Gruszecki, 52, of Hopatcong, was traveling westbound when she was struck by Bostic, Noonan said.

Bostic was entering a curve in the road when he lost control of his vehicle and slid sideways across both lanes and into the front of Gruszecki’s vehicle, Noonan said.
