Brother of Ella Fuehring part of wider lawsuit not yet completely resolved, report says.

CHESTER TWP., N.J. – The older brother of the toddler who was killed at Alstede Farms in Chester Township in 2014 will receive $261,000 in a court settlement.

Jayden Fuehring, who was six-years-old at the time, saw his sister, Elizabeth “Ella” Fuehring get hit by a shuttle bus and subsequently die from her injuries. Fuehring’s mother, Sarah, and a family friend were both seriously injured and hospitalized.

The settlement is a portion of a wider lawsuit, according to dailyrecord.com. The lawsuit alleged negligent infliction of emotional distress and was settled for $350,000, the report said. After court and lawyers fees, Jayden Fuehring was awarded $261,263, which he will have access to when he turns 18.

Fuehring’s suit named Alstede Farms, Hideway Farm, and the shuttle bus driver, Neil McWilliams, as defendants.

On Oct. 12, 2014, Ella Fuehring was with her mother, brother, and family friends at the farm when they walked between two shuttle buses parked at the property. At that time, McWilliams accidentally moved the bus into another shuttle bus, crushing Fuehring, her mother, and her mother’s friend in between.
