Back To School: Mendham, Chester 2021-22 School Calendars

MENDHAM, NJ — Back-to-school planning has already begun in Mendham and Chester with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in the Chester School District, Mendham Township School District, Mendham Borough School District and West Morris Mendham High School.

The first day of school for most students in Mendham and Chester is Aug. 25.

Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change as the coronavirus pandemic nears its year-and-a-half point. A mix of in-person, virtual and hybrid learning is still possible in Mendham and Chester.

As of Aug. 2, the districts including Chester School District, Mendham Borough and Township School Districts and West Morris Mendham High School, which is part of the West Morris Regional High School District, are awaiting final guidance from the State of New Jersey on in-person school for most students, mask policies and other COVID-related guidance, heading into the 2021-2022 school year.

Here is the list of dates to know for this school year:

First Day: Aug. 25

Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 25-26

Winter Break: Dec. 24-31

Spring Break: March 28-Apr. 1, 2022

Last Day: June 16, 2022

Mendham Borough School District

First Day: Aug. 25

Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 25-26

Winter Break: Dec. 24-31

Spring Break: March 28-Apr. 1, 2022

Last Day: June 16, 2022

Mendham Township School District

First Day: Aug. 25

Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 25-26

Winter Break: Dec. 24-31

Spring Break: March 28-Apr. 1, 2022

Last Day: June 9, 2022

West Morris Mendham High School

First Day: Aug. 25

Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 25-26

Winter Break: Dec. 24-31

Spring Break: March 28-Apr. 1, 2022
