Bees Force Closure Of Buttermilk Falls
After several people were sent to the hospital, the decision was made to close the area to hikers.

MENDHAM, NJ — Buttermilk Falls in Mendham is closed to hikers until further notice because of bees, Mendham Township Police Chief Ross Johnson said.
The closure was announced Thursday afternoon. Ross told Patch an "unsafe bee condition" has sent a couple of people to the hospital. Authorities are working on mitigating it, he said, but until then, hikers should stay away.
Signs are also posted in the area.
