Chester Creates Online Shopping, Dining Guide

CHESTER, NJ — Before heading out to explore Chester, people who visit can now download the Historic Chester Business Association’s 2021-2022 Shopping and Dining Guide.

The guide is packed with details about Chester’s history, information about shopping local in historic Chester, with maps and cross-referenced numerical guide to find each featured retailer or eatery, highlighted blurbs about some of the businesses, accommodations list, an events calendar, nearby recreational amenities and special discount coupons.

Chester is known today for its storefronts and eateries teeming with history, along with fun events along its brick-lined pathways.

Among the businesses highlighted are:

• Chester Candle Company - hand-poured soy candles, all made in Chester on site, are waiting here for their buyers.

• Serendipity Toys & Books - high-quality toys, games, puzzles and baby gifts are among the finds.
• Stained Glass Boutique - handcrafted stained glass items are here, with jewelry, chimes and more.
• Linda’s Gourmet Biscotti - serving up signature biscotti, plus artisan breads, coffee and other treats.
• Alstede Farms - known for its pick-your-own items, corn maze, baked goods, homemade ice cream and more.
