Chester Hosts Second Music Festival On Aug. 28

The free all-day festival is planning to feature performances throughout town from five different bands so far.

CHESTER, NJ — Live musical performances all day on Chester’s Main, Perry and Grove Streets are coming soon to Chester.

Scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 28 from noon to 6 p.m. with a rain date the next day, the musical lineup will feature music for all ears, from classic rock to Motown to country to folk songs.

The headlining acts so far are:

  • The Sensational Soul Cruisers - On Perry Street’s stage, the 11 member group with vocalists and brass specialize in songs by The Drifters, Otis Redding and other favorite artists.
  • Frontiers - On Grove Street’s stage, let Frontiers journey back to the 80s with their Journey tribute.

Plus notable performers planning to appear are:

  • Legacy - with hits from the 90s, Motown and more, on Perry Street’s Stage.
  • Screaming Broccolli - with hit songs from the 90s to today, on Grove Street’s Stage.
  • Blue Country - country hits will be coming out from Grove Street Stage


Attendees can bring lawn chairs to relax and enjoy the music in Chester’s downtown, with offsite parking and a free shuttle during the day.
