Chester Native, Nationally Recognized Musician Dies at 30

Amy Regan began writing her own music at age 6.

CHESTER, N.J. – Amy Regan found her purpose in life at a very young age, and expressed her feelings through music.

The Chester native and singer-songwriter died recently at the age of 30.

Born in Morristown and raised in Chester, Regan most recently lived in Woodstock, New York after spending time residing in Brooklyn. She graduated Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York.

Her love for music was evident early on, writing and singing her own music at age six. By age 12, she was performing in coffee shops across Morris County. As she grew into adulthood and honed her schools, Regan was recognized by Rolling Stone Magazine, SPIN, Fuse, and USA Today.

Regan is survived by her parents, Linda and Tom, brother John, Sister Tia, and a large extended family.
