Chester Teens Rock The Barn With First-Ever Music Night

CHESTER, N.J. – Free, live music in a safe place for teens can be hard to come by these days, but Chester has changed that.

Thanks to the Chester Borough & Township Recreation Department, in conjunction with the Chester Township Police, more than 80 teens came out to the Highlands Ridge Barn on Jan. 16 for the first ever Chester Rocks The Barn music event.

Four local bands performed for the audience in the tobacco, alcohol and drug-free zone.

The recreation department will host monthly gatherings for teens with the help of West Morris Mendham student Jack Bravstein.
