Car Hits 11-Year-Old Riding Bike In Mendham Borough: Police
Police said that the kid was biking near the intersection of West Main Street and Lake Drive on Tuesday when they were hit.
MENDHAM, NJ — An 11-year-old riding a bike in Mendham Borough was hit by a car on Tuesday afternoon, according to police.
Police said that at approximately 5:23 p.m., officers responded to the intersection of West Main Street and Lake Drive for reports of a car crash involving a bicyclist.
When police arrived, they found the child and the driver of the car on the scene, with the child injured on the roadway.

The child, who has not been identified for privacy reasons, was assisted by the Mendham Borough Police Department, Mendham Township First Aid Squad and Atlantic Ambulance Paramedics before being brought to Morristown Medical Center.
According to Chief John S. Camoia, the child has since been released from the hospital.

According to police, the driver of the car cooperated with authorities, and no criminal charges were filed at this time; however, motor vehicle summonses were issued.
