Deer Hunting To Close Sections Of Chester Twp. Parks Thursday

Four areas in Black River County Park to be off limits to general public.

CHESTER TOWNSHIP, N.J. – Four sections of the Black River County Park in Chester Township will be closed one day this week for deer hunting.

On Thursday, Feb. 11, Black River County Park’s Cooper Mill, Kay Environmental Center, Bamboo Brook Outdoor Education Center, and Willowwood Arboretum will be off limits to the general public as deer hunting with firearms will be ongoing.

The hunt is part of the annual white-tailed deer management program in Morris County.
