Deer Management Program Available For Mendham Borough Residents
Residents who are interested can contact Mendham Borough's Police Department for the program, which runs from September through February.
MENDHAM, NJ — The deer management program is starting up in September and borough residents can have their properties evaluated to participate in it.
The Mendham Borough Police Department organizes the program, its purpose to shrink the deer population, with the goal of hopefully lessening the number of deer versus car crashes. The program additionally is used as a way to mitigate deer damage to landscaping and agriculture.
On days when the deer management program happens, the police department says archery hunters are in parks and on private properties that have opted into the program, from dusk to dawn.
