Drinking, Phone Factors In Deadly Morris Co. Crash: Report
The 22-year-old was reportedly drunk and distracted at the time of the crash.

ROCKAWAY, NJ — The driver in an early February fatal crash was allegedly drunk and on her cell phone at the time of the crash, the Daily Record reported.
Samantha Viscardi, 22, reportedly told police she'd had several drinks, including three shots, while out with a friend, court documents said. She was driving on Green Pond Road when she checked her cell phone and lost control of the car, the Daily Record reported. Only one car was involved in the crash, Knapp said.
Viscardi was charged with assault by auto for causing serious injuries to her passenger in the Feb. 2 crash, Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp said. She now faces additional charges of vehicular homicide after the victim died at the hospital.
