The Peapack and Gladstone Police and Morris County Sheriff's Office helped Mendham Township with the investigation.
MENDHAM, NJ — Four unidentified women from Newark were charged by the Mendham Township Police Department after a resident living in the Brookrace area said the four attempted to take their car in the middle of the night.
Police charged them with conspiracy to commit burglary, theft and burglary, after a call came from the resident just before 5 a.m. Friday. As officers were responding to the scene, dispatchers from the Morris County Communications Center reached out to the Peapack and Gladstone Police Department with information about the car the women, who police say are between 19 and 20 years old, had been seen in. Peapack and Gladstone ended up stopping their car.
The Morris County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Unit worked on the investigation with Mendham Township’s Police Department.
