Friends Of Chester Library Host 2-Day Book Sale
The outdoor book sale is coming up at the Chester Library on Saturday, Aug. 7 and Sunday, Aug. 8.

CHESTER, NJ — To raise funds for programs at the Chester Library, the Friends of the Chester Library have a two-day, outside book sale planned for Aug. 7 and 8, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., both days.

People who would like to donate items for the sale, can drop them off to the library on 250 West Main Street, leaving them in the large box in the library’s foyer. Books donated must be in "good" to “like new” shape, with the library accepting paperback and hardcover children and adult books, DVDs, music CDs and audiobooks on CDs only. The Friends can’t accept donations of textbooks, magazines, encyclopedias, computer books over a year old, musty or water-damaged books, financial or travel books greater than two-years-old, music or books on tape, VHS tapes, condensed books and books that were discarded by other libraries.
People who would like a signed receipt for their donation, will need to request one; however, the IRS won’t let the Friends allocate a dollar value to donations received.
