Mendham First Responders, Groups Host National Night Out Aug. 11
Mendham Township organizations are hosting their Night Out event, with swimming, food trucks, music, a dunk tank, yoga, movies and more.

MENDHAM, NJ — The Mendham Township Police Department, other first responders and some other local groups, are co-hosting their National Night Out community celebration on Wednesday, Aug. 11, from 6 to 10 p.m.
Departing from the usual date on Aug. 3 that the majority of National Night Out events are celebrated throughout the country, Mendham Township’s National Night Out plans to host displays and demonstrations by the Mendham Township Police Department, Mendham Township Recreation, Brookside Engine Company, Ralston Fire Company, Mendham Township First Aid Squad and Mendham Stigma Free.
Kicking off at 6 p.m. on Brookside Beach, 18 West Main Street, there will be swimming from 6 to 8 p.m., along with music, at the beach area.

In the upper area of Brookside Beach during the event, attendees can check out the displays and demonstrations from 6 to 8 p.m. Food trucks will also be in that spot starting at 6 p.m., with yoga from 6 to 7 p.m.

The event will additionally feature “Dunk a Cop and Mayor," with Mayor Sarah Neibart and township police officers taking the plunge.
There will be a special ceremony on the beach at 8 p.m.
When the sun goes down, event-goers can take in a screening of “The Incredibles” from 8 to 10 p.m. on the beach.
