Mendham Pools: Rates, Opening Days For 2023 Season

MENDHAM, NJ — As summer is approaching, Brookside Beach in Mendham Township has recently celebrated the opening of its 2023 summer season.

The beach will be open only on weekends this year until June 12, when it will be open every day. Except for Tuesdays and Thursdays, when they stay open until 7:30 p.m., the hours of operation for the pool club are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Seasonal membership passes are available for both residents and non-residents. Brookside Beach has the following amenities:

• Snacks, Drinks and Ice Cream to be sold on-site
• New water circulators installed for increased water flow
• Working Bathrooms
• Swim Lessons (for members only)

Pricing for all residents is as follows:

• Family Membership: $150
  • The Family Membership entitles the member to free beach access during all open swim hours for the general public, including float night and early morning swim. A family consists of two adults and their unmarried children who live in the same house. It also gives you free access to all of the beach's special events. Grandparents must have their own membership.
• Individual Membership: $70
  • Individual membership entitles the member to free beach access during all open swim hours for the general public, including float night and early morning lap swim. Individual memberships are only valid for one person and cannot be transferred. It also gives you free access to all of the beach's special events.
• Senior Membership: $50
• 2022 Daily Admission Rates (Monday through Friday)
  • $7 Admission for Mendham Township Residents

This year, Brookside Beach will offer group lessons to all interested children. Every pre-season weekend until mid-July, they will have group lessons.

Pre-season lessons will be held for 30 minutes on Saturday and Sunday, and residents must sign up by the weekend. Lessons will be held Monday through Thursday, with a make-up day on Friday in case of inclement weather.

Each group has a maximum of eight children.

Here are the dates:

• June 3 and 4 from 10 to 10:45 a.m.
• June 10 and 11 from 10 to 10:45 a.m.
• June 12-15 from 10 to 10:45 a.m.
• June 19-22 from 10 to 10:45 a.m.
• June 26-29 from 10 to 10:45 a.m.
• July 10-13 from 10 to 10:45 a.m.
• July 17-20 from 10 to 10:45 a.m.

All residents can register for a membership through Community Pass.

Brookside Beach is looking for lifeguards (beginning at $14.13 per hour) and swim lesson instructors (beginning at $18 per hour). Appropriate credentials are required.

They are also looking for front desk/restroom/snack shack attendants who will be in charge of checking people in, monitoring the snack stand and cleaning and restocking the restrooms.
