Mendham Student Completes Capitol Hill Internship

MENDHAM, NJ — Mendham native Chris Pellecchia has completed a summer internship in Congressman Leonard Lance's Washington, D.C. office, the congressman's office said.

“Chris has been a great addition to my Washington office. He pursued his assignments with vigor and he demonstrates a strong interest in government and public service. Chris always had a great attitude and I thank him for his service to New Jersey’s Seventh Congressional District," Lance said.

“Interning on the Hill has been a fantastic learning experience. I’m deeply grateful to have been given this opportunity and I hope to take forward the lessons that I’ve learned in a future public service career," Pellecchia said.

Pellecchia, a member of the West Morris Mendham High class of 2015, is heading into his senior year at University of North Carolina at Wilmington, where he is studying information technology.

Some of his duties as in intern includes preparing briefings, giving tours of the Capitol, and constituent correspondence.
