Nursing Professor from Mendham Receives Lymphoma Research Award

Janet Chance-Hetzler works and researches at Caldwell University.

Janet Chance-Hetzler, DNP, of Mendham, loves her profession of teaching nursing at Caldwell University. She also takes great pride in the work and research she’s been able to complete.

It’s that work that has garnered her the Lymphology Association of North America research award at the World Congress of Lymphology 2015 in San Francisco last week.

She was honored for her research on “Prospective Lymphedema Surveillance in a Clinical Setting.

According to the school, Chance-Hetzler She conducted her research in partnership with the breast center at Ellis Fischel Cancer Center University of Missouri Health Care, under the guidance of her advisor Dr. Jane M. Armer. The associated manuscript is published in the Journal of Personalized Medicine.

“It was an honor to have my research accepted for presentation before such a distinguished audience and it was an even greater honor to have it recognized by this renowned organization,” said Dr. Chance-Hetzler in a statement.
