Patriots' Race Returns To Mendham Following Postponement

The annual race was postponed from Saturday, June 10, to Sunday, June 25, due to concerns about the air quality in the township.

MENDHAM, NJ — Attention all runners: there is still time to register for the 14th Annual Patriots' Race benefit, which was postponed two weeks ago.

The race is planned for Sunday, June 25, beginning at Brookside Field, which is located at 1 East Main Street.

The 5K begins at 9 a.m., and the Kids' Fun Run starts at 9:45. This year, the Fun Run includes three inflatables as a part of the race course, including a timed bounce house obstacle course, the township said.

This event will determine the funding for recreational programs and events for the upcoming year. With the Township Budget providing minimal funding for programs, events, and Brookside Beach — this is the communities opportunity to support Mendham Township Recreation, officials said.

The race, which was originally scheduled for Saturday, June 10, was rescheduled for this Sunday due to concerns about air quality in the aftermath of the Canadian wildfires, which deposited smoke throughout the state.

Following the race, there will be an awards ceremony, and the community will be able to enjoy music, games and food, perfect for the whole family. The awards will be divided into first, second, and third place overall for both men and women in various age groups.

Participants will enjoy live DJ entertainment as well as random prize drawings throughout the day.

Advanced registration is required for the run, with no walk-up registration accepted. Click here to register.
