Active Shooter Training At Mendham Township School Prepares Police For Crisis
These trainings "help us all be prepared for the events that we hope never happen," police said.

MENDHAM TOWNSHIP, NJ — Mendham Township police participated in an active shooter training at the elementary school, to better prepare for "the events that we hope never happen."
Officers joined the Morris County Sheriff's Office last week to develop their tactics and response in the case of an active shooting at one of the township schools. Pictures posted by the department shows the officers in the halls and classrooms, with the caption "always learning and getting better."
Police thanked the Sheriff's Emergency Response Team (SERT) and the township school district for making the training possible. SERT is made up of highly-trained officers from departments around the county, and the team responds to incidents including threats and crises.
