Primary Election Day In Mendham, Chester: When, Where To Vote
This year, there are no contested races in the June Primary election.

MENDHAM/CHESTER, NJ — The primary election is only a few days away, and residents from Mendham and Chester will be able to cast their votes in town and county races.
In Mendham Township, committee member Amalia Duarte is vying to keep her seat on the committee and is being challenged by Republican candidate Elisa Wyman.
In Mendham Borough, there are two seats up for grabs this year and three candidates have put in their bid. This November, Republicans Marilyn Althoff and William Russo will be running against sole Democrat Melissa Rawley-Payne.

In Chester Township, two seats are up for grabs and Republican incumbents Joseph DiPaolo and Tara Schellhorn are vying to keep their seats.
Two seats in Chester Borough are up for election, and Republican incumbent Gary Marshuetz is running to keep his seat. Current council member Elizabeth Gugliemini is not seeking re-election; instead, Republican Jason Rothamel is running.

When To Vote
The deadline for voter registration was May 16 – 21 days before the primary election.
The deadline to apply for a mail-in ballot is May 30 — seven days before the election. In-person submission of mail-in ballots must be submitted by 8 p.m. on June 6.
In-person early voting on Vote-by-Mail Ballots is currently available at the County Clerk's Office Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., up until Monday, June 5, at 3 p.m., the Morris County Clerk's office said.
Voters can vote in person at their assigned polling location on Tuesday, June 6. Election Day Polling places will be open from 6 a.m. through 8 p.m.

Where Can I Vote?
Those looking for a drop box can use any in Morris County.
Residents can deposit their ballot approximately 45 days prior to each election. All Ballot Drop boxes will be closed at 8 p.m. on Election Day.

The ballot drop boxes are all located outside and are constantly monitored. They look like USPS Blue Mailboxes, but they're red, white, and blue, and they say "Morris County – Official Ballot Drop Box," officials said.
The Vote-By-Mail ballots (VBMs) will be picked up on a daily basis and brought to the Board of Elections. All security measures will be followed when collecting and transporting the VBMs, officials said.
