Swim With Pride At Annual Brookside Beach Event In Mendham
The third annual Pride event is planned for Wednesday, June 21.
MENDHAM, NJ — Mendham Township will celebrate Pride Month next week with a night of swimming and a movie at Brookside Beach to round out the month with love and equality.
Community members will be invited to swim at Brookside Beach from 5 to 10 p.m. on Wednesday, June 21. To cap off the evening, a screening of the Disney film 'Strange World' will take place after the sun goes down.
According to Mendham Township Recreation, during the swimming portion of the evening, there will be special nonprofit displays from organizations serving the LGTBQ+ community.

There will also be tattoos, arts, and crafts for everyone to enjoy.
This is the third annual Pride Swim event, community officials said.

Brookside Beach recently celebrated the opening of its 2023 summer season.
The beach will be open only on weekends this year until June 12, when it will be open every day. Except for Tuesdays and Thursdays, when they stay open until 7:30 p.m., the hours of operation for the pool club are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Seasonal membership passes are available for both residents and non-residents. Brookside Beach has the following amenities:
- Snacks, Drinks and Ice Cream to be sold on-site
- New water circulators installed for increased water flow
- Working Bathrooms
- Swim Lessons (for members only)
