Three Arrested After Car Break-In Attempts In Mendham
Three residents of Newark were arrested from one car and another got away. Police are asking for help.
MENDHAM, NJ - Three residents of Newark were arrested in one car while another car got away when the Mendham Township Police were investigating attempted vehicle break-ins on Saturday, authorities said.
According to the Mendham Township Police, at approximately 2:50 a.m., dispatch received a call about suspicious individuals in the Drakewick area attempting to break into vehicles. Patrolman Bryan Fisk saw a pair of vehicles suspected to be involved and attempted to pull them over.
One vehicle took off and fled at a high rate of speed and one vehicle stopped, police said. As a result of the stop, three individuals from Newark were arrested.

This incident is still under investigation and police are asking anyone in the area to check their vehicles and security footage and contact 973-543-2581 ext. 0.
