West Morris Regional Named Among Best Communities For Music Education
This award recognizes teachers, administrators, students, and community members who help make music part of a well-rounded education.
CHESTER, NJ — The West Morris Regional High School District has received a national recognition for its music program, making this the sixth year in a row.
The "Best Communities for Music Education" designation from The NAMM Foundation recognizes outstanding efforts by teachers, administrators, parents, students and community leaders who have made music education part of a well-rounded education.
The NAAM Foundation is a non-profit supported in part by the National Association of Music Merchants Foundation. Designations are made to districts and schools that demonstrate an exceptionally high commitment and access to music education.

West Morris Regional offers a range of music ensemble groups in orchestra, band, and choir. Co-curricular opportunities include the marching band, pit orchestra, jazz band, and various choral groups.
The music program also includes semester-long courses in music production, music theory, and piano.

"This designation is due entirely to the hard work and dedication of our music teachers, who work tirelessly to inspire enthusiasm, passion, and continued skill development in every student musician," district officials said.
West Morris Regional is one of 975 districts across the nation to be recognized for its music education programs.
