Woman Claiming To Be From 'U.S. Department' Approached Several Mendham Homes: PD

Police are asking if anyone has any contact with the woman pictured, or had a similar incident happen to them.

MENDHAM TOWNSHIP, NJ — Two Mendham Township residents have had a woman come up to their door and claim to be from a federal agency recently, police said. Now, officials are looking for more information on the woman and asking homeowners if they have encountered her.

On Thursday, police said the woman and vehicle pictured above have approached two separate residences this week. The woman reportedly identified as a member of the "U.S. Department," and did not specify a branch or agency.

Officials did not share exactly where the woman was seen. Police also didn't specify if the woman asked for money or tried to enter the homes.
