"We have had no reports of unusual or aggressive behavior. While technically not indigenous to New Jersey, coyote have been living and roaming the ever-shrinking wooded and mountainous areas of New Jersey since the late 1920s," said Falk.

"We of course want our residents to be mindful that they are wild animals and caution be used when they are spotted, however, there are no overt measures the police department will take after observing normal movement patterns. Unusual or aggressive behavior can be reported to NJ Division of Fish and Wildlife or 1800-WARN-DEP."
