MIDDLESEX BORO, NJ — Released by Middlesex borough Police on Dec. 15, all the arrests for that time period:

December 8 at 11:04 A.M. – The proprietor of U.S. Gas, 101 Bound Brook Road reported the theft of 14 car batteries, valued at $420.00. Officer April Menditto investigated.

December 8 at 12:08 P.M. – A Piscataway resident reported that two of the tires to their vehicle were slashed while left unattended in the parking lot of 333 Cedar Avenue. Officer April Menditto investigated.

December 8 at 5:45 P.M. – Lorenza Menjivar Menjivar, 48, of South Plainfield was arrested and charged with Theft of Mislaid Property. Through his investigation, Officer Daniel Gurell determined that on November 23, 2023, Ms. Menjivar Menjivar stole an iPhone 14 Pro Max inside of the Superfood Fresh Supermarket, 738 Union Avenue while another patron left it unattended.

December 9 – Miguel J. Perkins, 28, of Elizabeth was charged with five counts of Burglary. Through their investigation, Officer Marc Arancio, Officer Paul Muldowney, Officer Robert Dangler and Officer Joseph Centola determined that during the overnight hours of December 6, 2023, Mr. Perkins unlawfully entered and attempted to unlawfully enter numerous vehicles on Beechwood Avenue, Hazelwood Avenue and Lucia Street.

December 10 at 2:11 A.M. – Diego Perez-Pinto, 44, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with DWI following a motor vehicle stop on Bound Brook Road. Officer Christian Dulin investigated.

December 11 at 5:47 P.M. – An employee of U.S. Gas, 101 Bound Brook Road reported the theft of $49.01 worth of gasoline. Officer Ryan Skow investigated.

December 12 at 11:19 A.M. – The proprietor of Superior Paving and Masonry reported the theft of a BWise 20-foot equipment trailer, a New Holland L328 skid steer and a Wacker Neuson RD12 asphalt ride-on roller from an unsecured parking lot at 141 Lincoln Boulevard. All of the equipment, reportedly valued at $51,000, was recovered in Plainfield. Officer Paul Muldowney, Officer Ryan Skow and Detective Scott Mulford are investigating.

December 13 at 11:00 A.M. – Eugene G. Buccellato, 62, of North Babylon, NY was arrested and charged with Money Laundering for facilitating a direct deposit scheme that resulted in a $2,123.27 loss to Cellgain, 200 Wood Avenue in August of 2023. Officer April Menditto and Detective Scott Mulford investigated.

December 13 at 4:30 P.M. - Javier Vasquez, 42, of Middlesex was arrested and charged with Unlawful Taking Of Means Of Conveyance, in connection with a 2019 Kia Optima that was stolen earlier that morning on the 300 block of Clinton Boulevard. Officer Scott Christofides investigated.

December 13 at 10:50 P.M. - A resident of Oak Drive reported the theft of a package, which contained two iPhone 15 Pro cell phones. The total reported loss was $2,098. Officer Christian Dulin investigated.

December 14 at 10:15 A.M. – A Kenworth T66 semi truck, previously reported stolen to the Union Township Police Department, was recovered on the 700 block of William Street. Officer Colin DeVincenzo investigated.

As is the case with all defendants, charges are merely accusations and they are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
