10,000 Shoppers Attended Made In Monmouth Holiday Craft Market

Who needs Amazon? A record number of shoppers attended the Dec. 14 fair, which sells locally-made gifts. Another will be in the spring.

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — More than 10,000 people attended the Made in Monmouth craft fair, a record-breaking number of attendees.

This is according to Monmouth County Board of County Commissioners, which puts on the holiday craft market. The craft fair was held this past Saturday, Dec. 14 in the Robert J. Collins Arena on the Brookdale College campus; it had to be moved to the community college because it outgrew where it used to be held at the Fort Monmouth Recreation Center in Tinton Falls.

More than 250 vendors set up stands; all the items sold at the craft store had to be made in Monmouth County, or the vendor had to be located in Monmouth County.

There will be another Made in Monmouth craft expo held in the spring; a date is not yet announced. It is usually in late March.
