Meineke of Middletown is a complete car care center with services such as alignments, oil changes (factory scheduled services), tires, brakes, flat tire patching, light bulbs and car batteries.

Massimo Lepore, president of Meineke of Middletown, has been in the industry for 20 years and recently took over the locally-owned business this past year. Building trustworthy relationships with customers and putting a smile on their faces is how the shop is defining its success and gaining repeat clients. Patch: How long have you been doing business in town or how long has the organization you represent been around in the community?

Lepore: I took over the business on August 4, 2017. Meineke has been in the community for several years under different ownership.


Patch: What attracted you to the line of work you're in and how did you get started?

Lepore: I worked at a Mercedes dealership for 20 years and owned a SnapOn route. My goal at Meineke is to bring dealership service to a mom and pop small shop.


Patch: If you had to sum up your business mission to a stranger in five words, what would those words be?


Lepore: We are here to help.


Patch: What's the biggest challenge or most difficult moment you've faced in your job?


Lepore: Expensive repairs are always difficult when customers do not have a great deal of money. We try to help the best we can with deferred payment cards.


Patch: What's the most satisfying part of your job?


Lepore: The most satisfying part of my job is the smile on the customer's face when the car they love is good to go!


Patch: How would you say your business or organization distinguishes itself from the others?


Lepore: Our store is a family-owned business that supports the community. We are here to give high quality service to all of our customers, no matter if you are here for a fast oil change or repairs.


Patch: What's the best piece of advice you've ever been given when it comes to success?


Lepore: Treat others as you would want to be treated is just as important in business as it is in social situations. I treat clients with respect as this is how I would expect to be treated walking into any other business. I feel this builds trusting relationships between the business and customers, and in turn creates repeat business.


Patch: Are there any new projects or endeavors you're working on that you're extra excited about?


Lepore: Meineke wants to be involved in the community more. We are planning to have food drives throughout the year and offer discounts to community residents who participate with us. We are excited to create a relationship with all the surrounding towns and residents.


Patch: Do you have any events coming up in your community?


Lepore: We are working on food drives for November. More details announced soon!
