MIDDLETOWN, NJ — In Christianity, the Christmas season is actually called the season of Advent. And on Dec. 8, Saint Mary Mother of God — the Catholic church in Middletown — invites all to celebrate the season with an evening of “Lessons and Carols” at the church.

The free and public event is held in the evening on Sunday, Dec. 8:

"Join us at 7 p.m. Sunday, December 8 in the beautiful sanctuary of Saint Mary, Mother of God Church, located at 19 Cherry Tree Farm Road, Middletown, NJ. This will be an evening of scripture, song and spiritual reflection. This free event brings to life the profound story of humanity’s fall, the promise of the Messiah and the joyous birth of Jesus Christ.
