"He was an excellent player looking to play for college and beyond. He was a remarkable athlete and true leader on and off the field," his obituary stated. "His personality was one of a kind and to know him was to love him. He had an enormous heart and wanted nothing more than to make those around him happy. His laughter was contagious and that sound will forever fill our hearts. He was a fiercely loyal friend, an incredibly loving son and brother, and the most beautiful soul."
