NJ Colonial Tavern History During The Revolutionary War: Nov. 25 Lecture
Many political discussions about the U.S. Revolutionary War originated in nowhere else but the local village tavern.

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — At 7 p.m. Nov. 25, the Middletown Township Historical Society will host a free talk entitled "Colonial Taverns of New Jersey."
It will be held at the Middletown Township Public Library and is free to attend, though donations are welcome.
New Jersey was the “Crossroads of the American Revolution,” and as battles raged, colonial taverns were the main stage for the unfolding drama of a colony transitioning into statehood and making decisions about declaring a war of independence.
