• Middletown Teen Indicted For First-Degree Murder In Shooting Of Long Branch Teen (patch.com) — Middletown residents are learning that 19-year-old Aiden Terlecki of Middletown has been indicted, along with two others, on first-degree murder and related charges in the fatal March shooting of 18-year-old Tristan Reeves in Long Branch. Prosecutors say the men conspired in the midday attack near the John R. Lewis Commons, and Terlecki was later arrested in New York City after weeks on the run.
   

• Red Bank Veterinary Hospital Launches PET/CT Scans For Early Pet Cancer Detection (patch.com) — Pet owners in Middletown can now access cutting-edge PET/CT scans at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital’s headquarters on Schulz Drive in the Lincroft section of town. The 24/7 facility, serving the greater Middletown area for decades, is among a small number of U.S. veterinary hospitals offering this advanced cancer-detection technology for earlier, more accurate diagnosis and treatment.
   

• JCP&L Middletown to Red Bank upgrades continue (themonmouthjournaleastern.com) — Middletown residents can expect a more reliable power supply as JCP&L builds a new high‑voltage line between substations in Middletown and Red Bank, with some lines going underground near the Navesink River Bridge. The project, running through February 2026, replaces 1970s equipment and is part of a larger Monmouth County upgrade expected to reduce outages for about 11,400 customers.
