Dogs Now Allowed Outside At 2 David Burke Restaurants
Starting next Wednesday, June 21 you can bring your dog during happy hour to Red Horse in Rumson and to THE GOAT in Union Beach.
RUMSON, NJ — Got a dog? If you would like your companion to join you while you dine or relax outdoors this summer, you're in luck: Two of David Burke's local restaurants are now allowing dogs on the patio.
Starting next Wednesday June 21 (the first day of summer), dogs will be allowed outdoors on the patio at Burke's Red Horse in Rumson (the former Fromagerie), and also at THE GOAT on Rt. 36 in Union Beach.
Celeb chef Burke is calling it “Yappy” Hour.

Water bowls will be on site.
In fact, Burke says the first 30 dogs at the two restaurants on June 21 will receive a “Pupcake” treat made by the Confections of a Rock Star, a popular pet-friendly bakery in Asbury Park.
“This is a way to create awareness and momentum about our great happy hour and our outdoor areas,” said Burke, who grew up in Hazlet and now lives in Atlantic Highlands. “So, grab your dogs and come on over. People love their dogs and they make great conversation starters. It’s another way to enjoy our restaurants and creates a nice social activity."
There will be water bowls put out for the dogs. Owners are asked to keep their pets on a leash and to remain respectful of the property and tidy up after their dogs.
Stay tuned for future collaborative “sweet” events between Burke, who owns Dixie Lee Bakery in Keansburg, and Kimmee Masi, owner of Confections of a Rockstar in Asbury Park.
