UPDATE: As of 1:02 p.m., Route 35 has been partially reopened to one lane of traffic between Laurel and Union Avenues.

"Work on the utility pole is ongoing, expect continued traffic delays in this area," Holmdel police said in a statement.

As of 10:15 a.m., there’s a utility pole down on Route 35 northbound south of Kings Highway/Tindall Road in Middletown, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation.

All lanes are currently closed and detoured, the agency said.

According to the latest Google Maps data, Route 35 is closed between Laurel Avenue and Union Avenue/Centerville Road.
