MIDDLETOWN, NJ — The Middletown school district asked Patch to share its public survey about how to solve a $9.8-million budget hole in its 2025-'26 budget.

You do not have to have a child enrolled in the Middletown school system to fill out this survey. In fact, the Middletown school district wants to hear from as many Middletown residents as possible. This is especially true as there is a proposal to raise school property taxes an additional 5.2 percent (for a total 10.1 percent increase), which would likely keep schools open.

- Tuesday, April 8: Board of Education special meeting: (executive session first, then there will be a public session after)
- Wednesday, April 9 at 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the High School North Auditorium
- Thursday, April 10 at 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the High School South Gymnasium
