Jennifer Lopez Movie Filming In Middletown
Lopez and film crews filmed on Sailors Way Friday, and she was also seen dining at a Red Bank restaurant.
MIDDLETOWN, NJ — Jennifer Lopez filmed her latest movie in Middletown last week, and she's due back in the area in the next few weeks, said Middletown Mayor Tony Perry.
The new movie she's filming is "The Last Mrs. Parrish," and it's a thriller about a woman who schemes to take the place of a wife married to a wealthy man. Lopez plays the wealthy man's wife, Daphne Parrish. However, the man's wife has secrets of her own, according to a synopsis of the movie. “The Last Mrs. Parrish” is a psychological thriller based on a novel by that same name, written by sisters Lynne and Valerie Constantine.
Filming took place along Middletown's tony Navesink River Road last week, at the intersection of McClees Road, said Middletown Police. Lopez and film crews also filmed on Sailors Way on Friday, said Perry.

Gov. Phil Murphy and rocker Jon Bon Jovi both have houses off Navesink River Road.
The reason so many movies are filming in New Jersey is because Gov. Murphy revived the state's Film and Digital Media Tax Credit. The credit means any movie filmed or produced in New Jersey gets a 35-percent reduction in their state taxes. Also, to encourage the development of large, long-term film studios in the state, such as Netflix's East Coast studio headquarters that's currently being constructed at Fort Monmouth, the Murphy administration will give additional 40-percent base tax credits if the studios remain occupied and in use for the next 10 years.
