Man Hit By Train, Killed In Monmouth County Tuesday Morning
The man was fatally struck by the North Jersey Coast Line train at approximately 9:06 a.m. Tuesday.

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — A man was hit by a train Tuesday morning at the Middletown train station, and killed.
The man was struck by the North Jersey Coast Line train at approximately 9:06 a.m. Tuesday. The train had left from New York City and was scheduled to arrive in Long Branch at 9:23 a.m., said an NJ Transit spokesperson.
NJ Transit described the man as "trespassing" on the tracks, and said he was hit west of the Middletown train station.

The body of the man is now with the regional medical examiner, who will determine the cause of death. NJ Transit has not yet released the man's name, age or what town he is from.
