Your name, age and office you are running for. Do you currently hold this office and if so, for how long? Both years and terms.

Kevin Settembrino, 55, currently hold and held this office for 15 years, or five terms. I served as mayor and deputy mayor.

What is your occupation?

Architect.

Have you ever run for elected office before?

Yes. I served as a Councilman in East Rutherford for 10 years.

What are accomplishments you're proud of having served on the Middletown Township Committee?

Increasing open space and recreation and holding the line on taxes continues to make Middletown the best place to live, work and raise a family.

Why should voters vote for you again? I am humbled to be part of a Township Committee that continues to put taxpayers first, but there is still more work to do.

The two Democrats challenging you cite a number of issues. The biggest is they say Middletown is not building enough affordable housing.

From Belford to Bon Jovi, Middletown already has affordable housing for everyone.

They also say Middletown has been dominated by one-party Republican rule for too long. Can you respond?

The taxpayers of Middletown Township have returned to office, year after year, the elected officials that continue to make our Township the best place to live, work and raise a family. I’m proud to be a part of that team that puts taxpayers first.

What's your favorite part about living in Middletown?

With its amazing parks, beaches and rich history, Middletown has it all. I’m proud to call this Township my home and look forward many years to come.
