Middletown South Freshman Honored In Woodbridge St. Patrick's Parade
A teenager at Middletown High School South was Irish Lady-in Waiting at the Woodbridge St. Patrick's Day parade, held Sunday.
WOODBRIDGE, NJ — A teenager from Middletown High School South was Irish Lady-in Waiting at the Woodbridge St. Patrick's Day parade, held Sunday.
The teen is Katelyn Driscoll and she is a freshman at Middletown South. Her grandparents, John and Barbara Reitmann, live in Woodbridge and are members of the Woodbridge American-Irish Association, which puts the parade on every March. The Woodbridge St. Patrick's Day parade attracts thousands of people, and Driscoll got to ride in the parade this year. (See Photos From Woodbridge St. Patrick's Day Parade)
Driscoll is active in Middletown's theater program, and she has performed in many shows at the Middletown Arts Center, including "Elf, Jr.," "The Lion King," "Wizard of Oz" and "Willy Wonka."

She also just recently performed in "Radium Girls" on the South high school stage this winter.
Katelyn volunteers at the Middletown Arts Center, the Middletown Public Library and at her elementary school, where she works backstage during their spring musicals. She says her favorite place to be is on the stage.
