Middletown Twp Fire Department Put Out Garage Fire

The Middletown Township Fire Department responded to a garage door fire of a Snyder Drive residence.

On Saturday, August 30, the Middletown Township Fire Department was dispatched to a call of a ”possible structure” fire, according to the Atlantic Highlands Herald.

Firefighters from 3 companies of the Middletown Township Fire Department , including East Keansburg, Port Monmouth, and Old Village Fire Companies, responded to the scene, along with the Middletown Township First Aid Squads and the Middletown Township Fire Department Air Unit.

Smoke had been observed coming from the attached garage of a residence on Snyder Drive, at appproximately 5:10.

5:30 a.m., the firefighters had battled the blaze to declare the fire “under control”. The last units were reported to have left the scene by 6:15 AM.

The fire was contained to the garage area, with only minor smoke damage to the residential area.

There were no reported injuries during the incident.
