Middletown Area Under Coastal Flood Warning Until 11 A.M. Saturday
"There is potential for some tidal gauges to reach major flood stage along Raritan Bay," warned the National Weather Service Friday morning.
MIDDLETOWN, NJ — Middletown and all of the towns along the Raritan Bay are under a coastal flood warning until 11 a.m. Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.
Expect one to two feet of coastal flooding in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways from 3 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 4.
"There is potential for some tidal gauges to reach major flood stage along Raritan Bay," warned the National Weather Service Friday morning.

"At this level, widespread roadway flooding occurs in coastal and bayside communities and along inland tidal waterways. Many roads become impassable," wrote Middletown Police in a Nixle alert. "Some damage to vulnerable structures may begin to occur."
Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property. If travel is required, do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth.
