Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino Opens Drug/Alcohol Rehab Center In Tinton Falls
Sorrentino cut the ribbon on his new rehab center Thursday; its opening was attended by "Jersey Shore" alums including Snooki and JWoww.
TINTON FALLS, NJ — Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino officially opened his first-ever drug and alcohol rehab center in Tinton Falls Thursday morning.
The rehab center is called the Archangel Center, and it's located at 44 Apple Street in Tinton Falls. Sorrentino has talked for several years now about opening a rehab center for alcohol and drug addiction, after he became sober in 2015.
The center held its ribbon cutting ceremony at 11 a.m. Thursday; Sorrentino was pictured on the center's Instagram account cutting the ribbon. An opening celebration party followed the ribbon cutting, attended by many of Sorrentino's castmates from the original "Jersey Shore," including Snooki, Jenny "J-Woww" Farley and others, according to NJ Biz. Monmouth County state Sen. Vin Gopal (D) was also pictured in attendance.

Sorrentino said Thursday's grand opening just happened to fall on the 10th anniversary of him becoming sober.

"This one means a lot," he wrote on Instagram Thursday. "On the 10th ANNIVERSARY of my SOBRIETY, we're proud to announce the grand opening of The Archangel Centers — built on healing, faith and second changes. Many years ago I vowed that one day I would have the strength and resources to help those that are still suffering from the disease of addiction like I once was and here we are."
Sorrentino, who grew up nearby in Manalapan, found fame as an original cast member of "Jersey Shore," which featured a life of drinking, tanning, partying and promiscuous sex among young people living in a rental summer beach house in Seaside Heights.
