Nobody should be surprised to see big-name Hollywood actors filming in New Jersey these days: Gov. Phil Murphy has given film studios millions in tax breaks to film in the Garden State, and he gave Netflix big tax breaks to open their planned film studio lot on Fort Monmouth in Eatontown. Prior to this, Bahrs (and Keansburg amusement park!) also appeared in the 2023 romantic comedy “Which Brings Me To You," currently streaming on Apple and Amazon. Watch the trailer, and look for all the local spots:
Bahrs was also in the 2022 Chevy Super Bowl ad with Meadow and AJ Soprano (Jamie-Lynn Sigler and Robert Iler), in a commercial for Chevy's first-ever all-electric Silverado. "A Complete Unknown" tells the story of Dylan when he was 19 years old and just arrived in New York City in 1961, looking to find his hero, Woodie Guthrie. Young Dylan was embraced by the NYC folk music scene, and the film recounts his rise to popularity just before he was signed by Columbia Records and became a mega star.
The Dylan movie will be filming all over New Jersey through the end of May; filming started in March. The studio is Broadside Productions, located at 525 Washington Blvd. in Jersey City.
