NY Yankees Player Gets Key To Middletown During Meet-And-Greet

Jake Bauers came to town in July to greet hundreds of athletes, veterans and fans.

MIDDLETOWN, NJ - Earlier this month, hundreds of Middletown-area athletes, veterans and fans came to meet New York Yankees outfielder Jake Bauers, who was later presented the key to the township.

The meet-and-greet autograph signing took place on Monday, July 24, at the Ross Brewing Co. on Main Street in the Belford section of town.

Mayor Tony Perry and Committeeman Ryan Clarke presented Bauer with a key to the township “to thank him for inspiring our next generation of athletes and visiting our home base,” Middletown officials said in a statement.

The event was hosted by Bradley Beach resident Frank Luna. Fans were able to purchase items for Bauer to sign.

“Thanks to the generosity of so many, we were able to invite athletes from across Middletown and RallyCap Sports to meet Jake,” Middletown Mayor Tony Perry sai din a statement. “An amazing job by my friend, Frank Luna for organizing an awesome event.”
