Obituary: Richard F. Reilly, 78, of Middletown: Army Veteran, Beloved Father and Husband
Richard F. Reilly, of Middletown, was born in the Bronx and had served in the U.S. Army until 1957.

Richard F. Reilly, 78, of Middletown, NJ, died on September 15, 2014 at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank, NJ. He was born on July 29, 1936 in Bronx, NY to Richard and Mary Catherine (Ruxton) Reilly. Richard served in the U.S. Army until his Honorable Discharge in 1957. Richard was a truck driver for most of his life and later worked as a lift parts salesman for Metropolitan Lift Parts before retiring 20 years ago. He was very fond of his Irish Heritage, he and his wife were former members of the Irish Federation and he loved to listen to Irish music, his favorite being the Willie Lynch Trio. Richard loved animals, but especially his Irish Wolfhound, Molly, and his Irish Jack Russell Terrier, Piper.
Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Eileen (Gale) Reilly; his son, Kevin Reilly; his daughter and son-in-law, Eileen and Steve Ciemniecki; his daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Mike O’Halloran; his son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Janet Reilly; his son and daughter-in-law, Sean and Renèe Reilly; his grandchildren, Crystal, Joe, Caity, Nick, Brendan, Andrew, Connor, Bridget, Kieran, and Ronan; and his great-grandchild, Kayleigh.
Richard was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Catherine Ruxton, and his brother, Robert Giles.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 from 6-9 pm at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, 115 Tindall Road, Middletown. Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, September 18, 2014 at 10:15 am at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Woodbridge Memorial Park, Woodbridge.
