• Monmouth County school closures, delayed openings due to snow for Monday (Dec. 15, 2026) (nj.com subscription) — Middletown Township Public School District will open on a delay Monday as a winter storm leaves 5 to 8 inches of snow, lingering outages, and dangerous black ice across Monmouth County. Many neighboring districts, from Hazlet to Holmdel and Long Branch, are also delaying. Families should plan for a slow, slippery Monday morning commute and check district alerts for exact start times.
