Protest Planned Along Rt. 35 In Middletown Wednesday Afternoon

There will be a protest Wednesday afternoon on Rt. 35 in Middletown over the extended federal government shutdown.

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — There will be a protest Wednesday afternoon on Rt. 35 in Middletown over the extended federal government shutdown.

The protest will be held from 4:30 - 6 p.m. at 1715 Rt. 35 in Middletown.

The protest is organized by local progressive Democratic groups, including Indivisible, Jersey Shore Blue, Middletown Outrage into Action and Shore Area NOW. The Middletown Democratic Party is also participating in the protest, which they say will be held every Wednesday in that section of Rt. 35 while the shutdown lasts.
