RED BANK, NJ — It's that time of year again:
Starting Monday, May 13, Red Bank's Broad Street will transform into a no-cars-allowed pedestrian plaza. It will remain that way all through the summer, until Sept. 30, Monmouth County government just announced.
A stretch of Broad Street will be closed to vehicular traffic to allow for outdoor dining, strolling, window shopping and more. On the weekends there will be live music in the street. The town of Red Bank calls it "Broadwalk."

Cars are not allowed on Broad Street from Front Street south to White Street, cordoned off by retractable, protective bollards at either end.
Red Bank has been doing this ever since 2020, as a response to COVID restrictions on indoor dining.
