MIDDLETOWN, NJ — Rosie's Pizza, located in Point Pleasant Beach, is indeed opening a Middletown location.

Rosie's Pizza owner Mike Mercuro confirmed to Patch he expects to open his new Middletown location around late January.

The Rosie's Middletown will open this winter in a retail space next to the new Nicholas Creamery ice cream and Booskerdoo Coffee & Baking Co., in the same shopping complex as the Middletown Saker ShopRite on Rt. 35.

Middletown envisioned that block of retail slots as a "high-end food court" across from the Middletown ShopRite. All three tenants — Rosie's, Booskerdoo and Nicholas Creamery — are renting from Saker, which owns the property.

"When you come out of the Middletown ShopRite you will be looking directly at the ice cream parlor and other eateries," Nicholas Creamery owner Nicholas Harary previously told Patch.
